The Town of Oro Valley was incorporated in 1974 and is located 6 miles north of Tucson.  Oro Valley means "Valley of Gold" in Spanish.  The stunning views of Oro Valley are enhanced by the views of the rugged Santa Catalina and Tortolita Mountains. Oro Valley has topped several National "best of" lists for its laid back, family friendly atmosphere. Golf, tennis, Catalina State Park, Tohono Chul Park and the Oro Valley Aquatic Center can all be found in Oro Valley.
